On 07.07.2022 at 11 a.m., the 12th lecture of the Living Lab lecture series took place. In this talk, Dr. Verena Maleska and Marzan Tasnim Oyshi from TU Dresden talked about FloodVis – Visualization of Climate Ensemble Flood Projections in Virtual Reality.
FloodVis provides the means to visualize potential future flood risks in Virtual Reality (VR). Displaying the results in a VR supports the user in understanding the complexity of the dynamics of the flood risk system and provides a sense of presence. In FloodVis, the user goes into a virtual environment to interact with the data and explore the temporal evolution of different flood events under the influence of climate change.
